The Well is undertaking a very short survey to better understand the public's awareness of what it does.

It would be much appreciated if you could take the time to complete this online by clicking on this link.

If you prefer to fill in a paper copy of the survey please call in at The Well and ask for Sian or Emma. Bring back a completed form and you'll get a free coffee or tea!

Advent at The  Well

From Friday, we will be lighting a candle daily in The Well to mark the time of Advent.  As well as an additional prayer at the beginning of the day, one or two members of the prayer team are coming in on some days to lead us in a short (optional!) prayer at the end of the day.  I have attached these prayers so you can feel prepared!  These will also be displayed for customers along with prayer leaves, which can be written on and pegged to the tree in the prayer room.

Well Wednesdays

We have been working with a range of people to lay foundations for a new initiative running across Wednesdays at the Well.  Although it’ll take a while to be up and running with the whole picture, the vision is for us to host small groups across a full day (9a.m – 9p.m) encouraging well-being compatible with our Christian ethos.  These will be broad ranging and encourage other members of the community in to make use of the facilities.

As a starting point, Anne has kindly agreed to host opening The Well from 6-9 once a month from January: ‘Live on Wednesday’.  She will arrange for some live music to be played and a simple hot meal offered at a reasonable cost.  An important part of the evening is that a meditation session will be offered from 8-8.30, run by members of the prayer team. Anne is aiming to run these special sessions on the second Wednesday of the month, but I am also looking for volunteers who could help me open up the café in the weeks in between for a lower key vibe – perhaps encouraging young people to lead shifts and definitely welcoming activities that will help us relax!

Does this grab you – perhaps on a once-monthly basis?
